John Clarke – The Desire For Life
Which is my favorite episode I’ve done for Revived Thoughts? It’s either the one I’ve just done or all the other ones I’ve done before (see below for links).
This was a pretty challenging sermon to give as it runs the gambit of emotion and sermon points. Here Clarke extols those who value this life over the next in a sinful manner. His exploration of why humans have this desire and even the positive aspects are covered. As Christians, we are strangers and travelers in a strange land, and our fuller life is completed in the full manifestation with God in glory.
From the episode description:
“John Clarke is regarded by some as the most “important Baptist of his century.” Learn his story in Colonial America and the persecution he experienced.
Please check out this episode and support Troy and Joel over at Revived Thoughts. They also have Martyrs and Missionaries and Revived Radio where Elise does some spectacular research. Revived Devos for a daily devotion.
