Troy & Joel from the Revived Thoughts podcast asked, me, Patrick to read another 4th-century church leader’s sermon and another Gregory (previously he read a sermon by Gregory of Nazianzus) – Gregory of Nyssa. The sermon shows the early church baptism view as being important.

I must be an old soul because reading for these two great men was such a joy and seeing the passion and the doctrines of the early church lived out so close to the time of Jesus’ earthly ministry is a tie back and forward in history.

Revived Thoughts is doing an amazing work that you should check out as they show the importance of church history and that we aren’t just starting from an evangelical ministry in a football stadium in 1962. We are starting on the foundations of Jesus Christ and his apostles and the centuries and millenniums of Christian Remnant.
