I was asked to be part of The Anarchist Bible Study with the great Jeff Park while Josh decided he wanted to have another child. So we staged a coup d’état!

In this, Jeff and I discuss how the federal government of Canada is threatening criminal measures to get the Providence of Alberta to hit a different target date for carbon neutrality than what the feds want. What’s really interesting, is that Jeff shows just how much freedom the providences of Canada have with respect to their sovereignty. Discussed, among a good many other things, is how much more freedom Canada seems to have and how Lincoln’s Civil War seems to have impacted and curtailed state sovereignty in the United States. Is Canada America without the Civil War?
