The Purpose Of Pain
In a world where death is supposed to improve the species and pain should be the means which tells those of us who are stronger who should survive, why are we so averse to pain and death? Because it’s all about survival we should embrace and encourage pain and suffering so that survival is easier for the next generation. But what if this life is more than just survival? What if there is a purpose for pain?
The Christian worldview says that while pain is not the ultimate end goal, God is able to be glorified in it and we are able to use it for our sanctification – which in turn glorifies God. It’s not easy, but it is the means by which God is able to redeem pain.
