Stories Without Evil To Overcome Are Boring

The Soul-Making Theodicy gives an accounting for evil in that God uses it to hone and forge a person into a better form than when he/she started. We see this in pretty much every book, show, movie, or song that resonates with us. When people speak of the human spirit accomplishing something, this is the spirit they are tapping into. Stories without evil to overcome are boring.
