Repentance Is Our Anguish
We don’t have to go to another dentist to get our teeth cleaned before we see our dentist. We don’t have to clean up the house before the VIP comes over. We don’t have to, likewise, try and get our life in order before repenting of our sin. Not only does God clean us up fully but we are unable to clean up ourselves at all. An important aspect of the Christian worldview is that repentance is our anguish over our sin.
