Facts Don’t Always Lead To Beliefs
In the West, we have a long history of detective shows. Some are straightforward who-done-it’s and there are others that have a unique outlook on either the solving of cases or those who solve them. Even our medical shows are turning into the diseases of the week to solve. So it’s not odd that we think we also just gather all the facts together and let the winds of reason blow us to the right conclusion. But the facts don’t always lead to beliefs especially with our initial belief systems coming into contact with questioning the bases of those presuppositions.
