Council of Chalcedon
The Incarnation was so unique that the Council of Chalcedon was convened in 451 AD to reject heresy, clarify understanding, and consult the Scriptures to codify. This wasn’t a secret cabal of king-appointed scholars used to consolidate power. It wasn’t the mightiest faction winning out. This was one of many times church leaders came together to really hone in on the unique work of God in dealing with evil.
