Review

First of all this is a book about good, general advice for everyone. The author tends to just tell the parents they need to tell their teen the things in the book. So this isn’t really a “for teens” but a “for parents” and more so “in general”.

So there’s nothing here that’s wrong and it’s fairly straightforward advice (save money, don’t get in debt, learn what stocks and credit is, budget). So, on one hand, I’ve got nothing to complain about with the material. But, on the other hand, this really isn’t a book to hand to kids or anything in the material that’s newly slanted for the intended audience.

While the contents would make for a good blog series, it’s nice to have in a one-book format. If you’re a parent who has the general good habits of finances, there isn’t anything here you won’t already know and do.
